  MrPineapple|research: Ceramic tipped arrows cause significant damage and are used as an alternative to metal tipped arrows. copper-iron alloy has been created, while weaker then iron is is moderately stronger then copper, and saves alot of valuable iron if used. it is being used for some cheaper armours and catchbows.

  MrPineapple|General: primative water powered mills are being used to automate the grinding of grain. a massive telescope is quite a leap from simple spyglasses, telescope and lens tech will need to be built up before such a thing can be constructed.

  MrPineapple|Military: catbows with metioric iron arms are being put to use as the weapons of your elite archers. very few can be made due to the rarity of metioric iron. near pure alchahol based explosives are being used as deadly traps. 200 elite bowmen are being trained, armed with the iron catchbows.

  Loiosh42|Extra Stuff: turing auqatic farms into self contained ecosystems has moderately increased their crop yeild (and allowd for them to be fished) although these farms take a long time to establish themselves as small ecosystems. defences are being build around the fourth lake. new innvoative trap designs (the ones you described) have been designded, and are being put to use in hunting and defence. windmills of more complex and superior design allow for finer grain flour.

  Loiosh42|Infrastructure: mail outposts along the waste roads are being upgrated with alchahol lamp based signalling systems, allowing them to operate at any time of the day or night. a new far more elegant architectural style is coming into fashion post disatser, promenantly featuring large dones, high arches, butresses and many statues. many improtant buildings along with the homes of the rich are being rennovated or rebuilt with this architectural style.

  Loiosh42|Vrigroos: taming vrigroos has been exceedingly difficult, the female Vrigroos are closely guarded by the males, who violently charge at any who come too close, this combined with their great rarity means that few have been captured, but some have. a small group of young vrigroos calfs?/hatchlings? have been successfully caught and brought back to the capital.

  Loiosh42|lenses lenses take a decent amount of time and a very skilled glass cutter to create, so giving every commanding officer a telescope will take alot of time and restrict your glass cutters from other things, like making your giant microscope's lenses. it can still be done if you want. currently telescopes are only being given to elite commanders.
