StabbyMcFishFace: They have evolved from their respective ancestors, and they're both sentient. The name has NOTHING to do with Geneva convention, it's a cipher. If I published it under original name, I doubt I would be considered adequate at all.
Redfrogcrab: I'm not capable of drawing humans at all.
So yes, things need explained, and that will take time.
I reccomend writing a series that explains some of the overarching lore, then readers know that is isn't just brutality for brutality's same. Also, with a name like Geneva, my mind goes to the Geneva Contact, which suggests warcrimes.
It's mostly a matter of backstory, something we don't have much of yet. Most of what we've seen so far has told us very little about the culture/origin of these races. Are they evolved or created. If it's the latter, do they share genes? Also, are they both fully sentient, and able to experience and understand pain? Without context, it seems rather like the foxes revel in cruelty, which draws connections to various totalitarian societies, and paints a bad picture.
ok, so what if some human ship entered the solar system, a team is sent out and boom, first contact. either a war or a technological revolution happens as a result
oooo i have an idea for a plot for Geneva
But they aren't perfect and senseless. In R-ARC, which will run starting today, you will see it.
