A PHOT-powered radar(more like lidar) that automatically scans its surroundings and makes a distance map. The distance is measured in light half-spark-seconds(how much a photon moves in 4 frames). if you downvote, please tell why

@mr_hyperspace, technically sure, but we dont have radio waves in TPT and protons do the job that it would do

this is pretty damn cool, correct me if im wrong, but does this work by sending out a pulse a location indicated by a line on the map, at which pulses timed by the radar being rebounded, marking the distance by how long it took?

wouldnt this be lidar not radar?

@ArseniyPlotnikov2k6 ye

Very nifty. +1
-
you can use a stronger laser/bigger detector to get less noise
-
but still +1
-
because i uses light scattering back into the radar and because it's random it has inconsistent results
-
doesn't work well
-
anyways +1
