    @Expired Ukraine and Russia have always had their own independent capitals. Also, Russia invaded Crimea and annexed it, that was in 2014 and the conflict is escalating again but on a bigger scale now towards the rest of Ukraine.

    Please avoid misinformation, Ukraine is an independent country separate from Russia (who's capital is Moscow). The war in Ukraine has been going for 7 years but Russia significantly escalated it in March this year. During most of those 7 years it seemed like nobody cared about what was going on, but I'm glad there is more attention on it now. (I just wish that attention would lead to a resolution to this conflict)
