Also, catchphrase911, one save is pixel art (shockingly good art, I might add) while this one is an informative map of current events. Plus it's been featured by the devs and mods, so naturally, it's going to get a lot more attention.

Remember Chernobyl and all those active NUCLEAR power plants in Ukraine? Big difference from Georgia.

Take what I say with a grain of salt, of course. It's verging on conspiracy theories.

Bear with me while I make a controversial point... Don't get me wrong. I in no way support Putin's blatant act of violence and aggression. However, propaganda cuts both ways, and Putin and his generals aren't the only source. I can almost guarantee that a large number of the claims and stories coming from the Ukrainian government (IE the Ghost of Kyiv or the supposed texts between the young Russian soldier and his mother) are either fabricated or exaggerated. The first casualty of war is truth.

It's the same stunt they pulled with Georgia in 2008... I don't recall global outrage or fears of WWIII over that. This whole scenario is so strange to me.

So yeah it would be weird to be in blue and completely surrounded by red, but they may still have an escape route despite appearances. But probably no major cities there anyway.

Lukandrate: Most of the red areas in the map are like that in reality. The Russian army controls the routes, but they aren't present in every inch of territory. This still means they have effective control of those areas though if the Ukrainian army can't defend it. So that's why they are colored in red. Perhaps the advance to Kyiv should also be filled in red too, but I don't think the Russians have effective control yet, they are just making an advance.
