    @Beatless123 Russia came to install the puppet government in Ukraine, not to conquer the land (though Crimea is rather strategically important)

    @Jerehmia No country could normally exist in isolation nowadays. Even Russian government understands this and they try to hold the ties with China and with BRICS countries

    Beatless123: People have trouble realising just how big Russia is. If Russia wants to isolate itself from the rest of the world it can do so without huge problems. The only thing that keeps Russia from using tactical nukes is the 1994 Budapest Memorandum wherin the USA, the UK and Russia promise to repect Ukrainian, Belarussian and Kasakh sovereignty and assist them agianst nuclear threats in exchange for giving up their nukes, but that agreement apparently isn't worth the paper it's printed on.

    Russia attacked and Russia is the one who has to retreat. No one should force Ukraine to give Russia even the smallest piece of land. Russia has enough land, they dont need more.

    Jerehmia, if Putin used nukes, he would lose all his allies immediately and Russia cannot fight the rest of the world by itself.

    This has been going on for a week now, this won't be resolved without massive human casualties if this continues because for the Russians it's either Putin or the Ukraine that has to go, and Putin is prepared to destroy every Ukrainian city to make sure it isn't him who has to go (and he'll use tactical nukes if that's what it takes). The only way to save the Ukraine is to give Russia a way out of this war without toppling Putin.
