I wonder If space was militarized yet... Could the SDI program be real now? Elon musk is the biggest millitary contractor on earth. Who knows what they have been putting into orbit. Hypersonic missles could be Russia's response to such a defense.

and as an example if NATO invaded all the way to moscow without starting a nuclear war then putin will simply threaten with nukes forcing them to withdraw or make peace as when your about to be sent to jail and executed and the country your ruling over will most likely collapse you have nothing to lose which means M.A.D doesnt really apply to that scenario

and about the "not the most dangerous of the bombs" even if conventional warfare happened between russia and NATO it would kill millions as thermobaric weapons almost as powerful as nukes will be exchanged between the 2 most likely killing millions in a few months the average nuclear warhead used in a ICBM is also 1 megaton which is WAYY stronger than the ones used against hiroshima and nagasaki

nuclear war is a real possibility and also ukraine cannot invade russian territory because it would then make them the aggressor and western countries could withdraw support meaning its game over for ukraine nuclear war is very possible when theres a maniac ruling a country with 6.6k nuclear ICBMs even if half of those were broken and would detonate before taking off they would still cause huge damage and start nuclear winter

@ronny_nerdy Nuclear war is way too hyped-up by movies, both countries know that using too many nukes will kill their country [M.A.D.] so most likely only a handfull of important cities would get nuked and most likely not by the most dangerous of the bombs. Still there would be millions of deaths no matter how many are used.
