    its virtually a stalemate in territory expansion terms but thousands of people are still dying so the war is only getting worse

    The food scenario might also be correct however they may have just been expending as much ammo as possible before they surrendered to surrender less ammo

    Yes they ran out of food based on the reporting I read. First the civilians hiding in the plant were able to evacuate, then the militants surrendered. Basically yeah they fought til the end (you can't keep fighting with no food)

    I think they actually ran out of food not ammo. They were shooting at russians like crazy up untill the last day

    Well, they pretty much did considering how many wounded people were brought out from Azovstal and it isn't beyond reason to assume they ran out of ammo or were running dry

    Wasn't azov saying they will never surrender, they will fight till the last person, with teeth and nails, just a week ago? They changed their mind pretty quick.
