its called solid spark and subframe is name for contraptions that abuse particle refresh order and filt solid spark has bigger and more proper name "deserialization solid spark" nice tutor tho -

That's a good idea, to set LIFE to 3 instead of 4... Since components are only activated by SPRK(3) you usually need to arrange CONV so that it turns it into SPRK(4) *after* everything finishes activating, so next frame it'll have LIFE 3. It's a bit bigger than the CONV setup but very useful if you need to reset the SPRK *before* activating things! -
