add gas NOT OIL OR NITROGLYCERIN IT WILL BREAK!! in the part with pump and then light the match when u start to see it in the mantle, watch it glow!!

    Good looking lamp, but gas lamps did not use sparks for ignition, they used a match. ^1 though!
