    But sometimes laser of disc machine have troubles to read info (maybe thats my mistake bc i modded it to work with Movie Maker)

    I modified Movie Maker 870, so now Movie Maker can read info from this disc :D

    There are less bit streams of different periods than I wrote of course, but it's interesting none the less that this is a pretty decent way to generate random numbers a bit like to World War 2 area cogwheel based XOR cryptographic devices like the Lorenz cipher. IOW you could use this to build a encryption/decryption device where the "disk" contains the secret key.

    I think addressing isn't the problem, you could push one pixel of other stuff around and synchronize to that or you could write a special "begin of track" mark in the FILTs themselves. You'd have to read data track by track though, because the tracks don't have the same capacity. The output right now is a pseudo random number where every (second) bit has a diffrent period and if those period lengths would be coprime it would be pretty good random numbers too.
