My first attempt at gradient work; it's more obvious in some places in the spectrum than in others. Copy with credit.

Onestay: Turns out that we do actually see a bit of red in real violet, because of a quirk of human eyes. (red cone cell)

I misspelled 'combination'
-
The cobination of significant bits I used to make violet FILT was the best violet result I got in my attempts to make violet. I couldn't fit all the words in the previous comment.
-
Oh now I understand; they were talking about bits. But that "yellow" bit is actually part of the red spectrum; it just looks yellow for whatetever reason, it's the same story with the cyan-looking bit at the end of blue spectrum.

The actual explanation of yellow bit in violet: id:3070783
-
Or that's just totally wrong and I'm just overthinking it
-
Oh, I think I know what they mean. When you press 'h' and hover over the violet part there does appear to be a "yellow strip" in the BIZS in the diagram at the top right corner, but I don't really see what's the big deal
-
I don't see any yellow in the violet block, I don't know what you guys are on about, unless it was updated and removed or something

id:3070607 Theres clearly a yellow strip
