The Nationalists take Shanghai and all of Zhejiang, but they were pushed south of the Huai river by the Wanton forces. The Communists proceed to also take Shanxi, along with starting uprisings in Shijiahuang, and especially in the northeastern region [Manchuria] a lot of uprisings take place.

Third Chinese United Front is formed as rebellions of communists spring up in Shaanxi and nationalists in Guangzhou and Jiangsu. Beiyang flag used for the general united front as a neutral compromise.
