    @CSLA @monolith The 1000 is the nameplate capacity of the RBMK-1000, however, it could put out 1100MW normally, any power level above it would cause the reactor to overheat abnormally.

    @Dovydas The plan was for 12 reactors, but that got scrappped and reduced to 8 reactors because of a lack of cooling water for 12 reactors.

    monolith you dont have truth. 1000 means maximal power. It was 1000 MW reactor. Safe temperature of this reactor was only 300 degress.

    astro-nomical you are right. it is RBMK but it have number 1000, because it can to withstand only 1000 degrees, not v100
