TPT does have an FP algorithm, determined by votes, and randomized some. This save succeeded at getting onto the front page because it got enough votes. Moderators sometimes pin saves to the top of FP (rarely), and demote saves sometimes due to rule breaking, but overall, whichever saves get the most votes get to FP. -
