    MachineMan: From en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ternary: "Ternary (from Latin ternarius) or trinary is an adjective meaning "composed of three items".", four values would be "tetranary" (en.wiktionary.org/wiki/tetranary), but "quaternary" is more common

    0, 0.5, and 1 are just three values; ternary is four vaules; this is trinary.
