and stop trying to explain what newtons laws are or thrust, i am not clueless

while i do disagree all ion engines are really weak i also don't know what point you are trying to make besides that you engine might produce thrust in real life. it's not a fault of your engine but a fault in how the games handles ions or electrons. now excuse me while i go test what tpt can simulate.

electrons have mass and this engine expulses them. ion engines are all REALLY weak, meant only for pure efficiency

the definition of the 3rd newton's law is "For every action there is an opposite and equal reaction" meaning expulsing any non-zero mass at any non-zero velocity creates thrust as you have to push that to expulse it

Ingot: ion engines are meant for hyperefficient travel in space (OBVIOUSLY no air there). pressure in space engines is, infact, considered a huge performance hurdle and the ideal chemical (or similar) engine must have 0 exhaust pressure

ALso, of course i know what thrust is. and there may be no atmosphere but TPT definitely simulates air movement and pressure, I don't know why you wan this to be an argument but i was simply pointing out that as an engine it produces no pressure resulting in air movement.
