    Well, you can't really do this, unless the round is something like a 50 cal bullet which carries a large amount of heat

    so mythbusters shot a gas tank with reg ammo, tracer ammo, and incendiary ammo. none of them ignited it somehow, even i was surprised by that. but yeah, i wish you could do this, gravity gun ammo for days!

    Actually, shooting a gas tank is almost safe. A small chance for bullet to create spark on contack with metal exists, but it's too small. But if you use ignition ammo, then gas will blow up.
