    i'm doing it for more variety on the front page, and so it has better saves. When I started doing it the front page wasn't very good. Also some saves that deserved it weren't being noticed, so this was to get those saves noticed.

    @ink: that second page has not changed since ive found TPT. ever. its the same stuff. i find the 2nd through 5th pages not worth going to, and sotring by date almost always gives junk.

    @malatrix: It seems pretty self explanatory to me. If I'm guessing right, it takes old, popular saves and re-adds them to FP. This could possibly either be to help push out the ridiculous things that sometimes get FP, or add some semblance of variety to the second page, or both.
