Also another way i destroyed it effortlessly was by just using a pressure bomb which made the quartz brittle then i used a thermite bomb -

Zach_The_Cat 18th May 2016@crabby yea its the best way to 'destroy' the base, dont go for explosives, just go for a material that doesnt ignite or dissipate to get through, acid doesnt work because at 55c it ignites, so the next solution would be caustic gas
