    Technically your also claiming that the standard model is untrue, i would explain why but i cant make the comment that long.but you seem smart enough that you should be able to figure it out.

    Technically, they just discovered a particle that has similer mass and other properties to the predicted Higgs, but there were a few more tests they wanted to do to be sure.
