    actually most of space isnt truly darkness. if you were in space and you can see a star then that means photons are dominating the darkness since they are buzzing around. even if you could see an asteroid or a planet or anything, light is still present as it is reflecting whatever object. if you could see nothing absolutely nothing not even a star or even yourself than that would be called true darkness

    Dark matter is not a possible reason for darkness. It is matter that does not interact strongly with light.
