    PortalPlayer: I used to be really confused by fans also, you have to hold shift and start the line on top of the fan itself. Also idk I always do the ( or ) first (:

    I've never understood how to use fans. "use the line tool" doesn't help. Anyone care to explain? jacob1: you do your smileys wierd. What's wrong with ":)" rather than "(:" and why "):" when you could ":("?

    jacob1: well, my version of VS came from a disk of my dad's... so I'd say old. Maybe XP/2000 days? And yeah, hex is much more useful than octal. If you want to represnt full bytes in octal it means lots of 3 bytes! What's the point of that? But good ol' hex takes two digits for one byte, even though this is all info that you know.

    PortalPlayer: visual studio works fine on windows 8, as long as you use the most recent version. I imagine that old versions from before windows 8 existed might not work :P lol

    jacob1: The Visual Studio IDE doesn't function on Win8, though the compiler does and it wasn't hard to configure my existing editor. Although I never said anything about programming for TPT...
