    Also, what's your opinion on logos? In my mind they're just a flashy distracting waste of space.

    Does your search engine perform a huge SELECT statement (assuming your DB runs MySQL)? Because new stuff immediately pops up in search results, so there can't be any sort of indexing going on.

    jacob1: even so, you could still validate the basic stuff like whether it contains non-alphanumeric characters or whether it's longer than 16 chars.

    I'll look at it, but I won't help you with color or icons because I don't think those should be allowed. It's unfair that only certain people know how to do it but not everyone can.
