    my cousins laptop gets 300 fps with fire display on an empty screen

    There isn't a way *yet*, but eventually there will probably be. I'm working on some interface rewrites right now that I hope work good.

    Who needs realism :P, way too late to change it anyway but it would be nice if it worked like that.

    you should make heat spread slower in wood and coal, then make fire heat based, so it can only light when hot, maybe it would be a little more realistic that way?
