The only way to disable layering entirely would be if we wrote code to delete any stacked particles. jacksonmj probably decided that was a bad idea, and there were a lot of glitches that allowed layering during real reactions back then, so he decided to do the 5 particle limit instead. It's just due to how pmap and parts in the code work together that causes layering to be allowed.

Jacob, how come layering previously didn't make bhol or to reword the question, how come a limit of 5 layers was placed? If layering wasn't supported, how come it wasn't just removed back then instead of putting the bhol feature? Sorry for probably being annoying, I'm just curious as to why that is the case..

Layers are not supported in TPT, so there is a possibility that could be removed someday. It's also possible that jacksonmj will put his pmap rewrite into tpt someday and make layers actually supported, but I think neither of these are likely and it will just stay how it is now. That PSTN thing won't be fixed :P (not really a bug)

Jacob do you think the layering-up-to-5-elements-via-the-console feature will ever be removed? Also, there is a bug with pushing/pulling layered particles using pistons. The piston only pushes/pulls one layer and leaves behind the rest. Do you think that can be fixed in a later update?

nothing is wrong with tpt's electronics. black filt is just a nifty lil thing to have.

just try it in my mod and tell me what any problems are >_>. How can things be fixed without having black FILT again? Wasn't black FILT only a useful glitch in a single version anyway? There's probably something black FILT allowed you to do that you can do with some other method. Also i'm being very lazy and not even checking what black filt does for now :P. It's late ...

Anything like that put into my mod is just a backport from tpt really. But however it works in my mod is how it will work in the next official version.

@thespazz: jacob1 added black filt into his mod but it isn't in the official version yet. If you deco the filt black it can make BRAY beams or things created from CRAY black. This is usefull to get rid of the flashing BRAY that happens in things that use intersecting ARAY technology.

with black filt, you can turn other things black such as array, photons, and ect. with this i can make lots of weird things, and epic simulations, such as microwaves, invisable photon coding, and many more. (and no. it dosn't breake anything)
