Not just that, but the curves are wrong - in a parabola, the the lines curve outward, not inward. This is more like another kind that I can't name... They take the general form of y=2/x, but two can be replaced with any number. -

tothemeyers is right...that is not technically a parabola. The curves have to be mirrored for a parabola. -

You know this is made 100% of straight lines! This is easy to make with some graph paper, a ruler, and a pencil. -
