BACT - Bacteria
Bacteria is very simple. It is a greenish slime with a very high viscosity and it must turn O2 into CO2 to survive (raising it's tmp, wich always goes down) otherwise it dies and becomes salt water. If we had sugar i would have it reproduce when it eats one; but sadly we don't so i'm asking for ideas on what could replace that (New chemical elements won't break saves, you know..)
That is all. This incredibly simple little thing will enable a full variety of biological processes. There is NOTHING right now that can turn O2 into CO2 for a complete cycle.
CO2 + PLNT = O2
We don't need THAT much realism.
Well, salt has no special uses, and it does exactly the same sugar would do.. The only problem is salt-iron reaction.
Anyway, I doubt it will be added to the game, but its better than most ideas. You should try mod it.
Note: you can use conv as 'mouth' of a living creature to turn O2 into CO2 alearedy. But that would require dmnd to be conv-proof, which I would like a lot, since you have to open spaces between dmnd and conv all the time.
"post removed cause it doesn't makes sense now"
Oh....didn't notice that >.>
Also, it should just disappear rather than turning into SLTW, and sugar? no.
I think it should be added at some point .May need some time to develop but it will catch on!Nice idea, heretik. However, some users oppose the idea because they don't want realism in this game.I have a suggestion. we need to add some realism to the game if the bacteria ever catches on and is added to the list of elements.
Edit:I like heretik's ambition!I would support the biological processes existing in TPT.
Well if there is a mod that wants realism and not random things; show me the way to it! Powdertoy has a lot of potential. Also; i could have written a longer entry but then i would have been criticized for wanting to be too realistic; so i'm just trying to make it short and sweet. Sugar? We have sugar?
But i see about CONV; i had totally forgotten it existed. I guess it can do the job; but we still need some biology! Remember one thing:
THERE IS NEVER ENOUGH REALISM!!
