Suggestion - Total Pressure View

I don't know if this has been suggested before (almost certainly) but I think it's just a good idea I had that I'd like to air.

Pressure view is perfectly good but pressure within elements (solids especially) is very difficult to get an idea of due to being only displayed when you move the mouse over it.

It could be practically the same as heat view with ambient heat. It would be helpful for example when using GOO or BMTL. That's possibly the only use but in my opinion it would be very helpful.

Could be activated like Life Gradient View, with Shift+2.

Possibly a third colour could be added, purple probably, for solids so that ones with a pressure near 0 wouldn't be invisible.

    Any thoughts?

I like it! so what you're saying is that it would look like ambient heat but with pressure, in that the solids are colored silhouette. interesting.

Yeah, the solids have colors depending on pressure like heat view has colours depending on heat. Thanks!

Great idea, so you're suggesting different colours based on the point where they will shatter. I'm wondering about titanium though.. as the spark that travels through it can let minimal pressure in.

Not precisely the point where they will shatter but just the pressure present in a each 4x4 pressure cell of the element.

I have wanted this for a while.

I need some presure view that will allow me to see pressure through solids, so that I can check for leaks in pressure sensitive systems.

You know that you can already do this.. the function has been there a long time. There is a view display menu in the bottom right, just turn off everything except for 'Air:Pressure'.

The 1-9 keys are only shortcuts to disable/enable certain options, you can manually set options yourself for more advanced displays.

I didnt even know you could do that. Thanks!
