Why does this happen around every 10 years? I mean Y2K now 2012. if you look up the facts you will see that the Mayans just didnt make a larger calender. i mean dont forget that the conquistadors wiped out their entire civilization.

All the 2012 is, is that some ancients who are supposedly good at predictions (but couldn't even predict their own downfall) said that the calender cycle will restart or something. No biggie, just a calender restarting, like when you buy a new calender.
I think it's something along those lines anyway, but meh if I'm wrong. -
