Yeah the Bowser Empire builds the overflow pathways but hesitates on dirling the vent as it may de-stablalize the chamber. When the laser is done upgrading the Empire will try to remotely drill it.

RNN has been preparing more bunkers and precautions that will help against the winter that will occur after the supervolcanic eruption. We try to start making underground food and power facilities as well as other preperations which should be complete by 2024:05

It's 2018:8 right now. The Bowser Empire prepares for the eventual supervolcano eruption that will rock the world. It sets up evacuation drills for the citizens in the bunker, creates biome domes which should be done by 2021 and researches CO2->Oxygen convertors
