I made a change to the script server. From now on, it will authenticate you with your TPT account and tie scripts to that. The author field can no longer be edited, it will pick up your TPT account name. Now that we have account verification, you won't be able to edit other users' scripts anymore either.
I'm hoping this cuts down on misuse. The approval queue is 80% garbage, and by that I mean most things sent in aren't even code. Spambots also sometimes find the script submission page. Most of the garbage sent in is from fake TPT accounts. By making everyone authenticate with TPT, this should cut down on nearly all the fake scripts, while allowing real TPT users to still submit them.
There's over 300 scripts on there right now, I can't validate the usernames of all of them. If you have a script on there you can't edit because it doesn't think it's yours, let me know. This shouldn't be much of a problem going forward because it will track your user id, but none of the older scripts have that tracked.
Version 3.16: Fix Online FILTER breaking on a certain script Reduce chance of getting 408 timeout errors on slow connections Fix rare corruption of script settings or scripts list
FILTER was broken recently because it was interpreting a certain username as a number (because it was), and then trying to lowercase it when filtering. So now it won't do that anymore.
I also put in possible fixes for other bugs I knew about. 408 timeouts should hopefully go away now, unless your connection is so bad it freezes for multiple seconds. I also put in a workaround for scriptinfo corruption. In the past I told people to delete their downloaded/ folder and redownload everything manually, but, hopefully it won't get corrupted anymore.
