if i see a reminder for voting i simply down vote on the save regardless of whatever might be in the save. i don't like people who fish for votes like that it's dumb. you work hard on ur saves and earn the votes you don't ask for them. get what i mean? so. yea.
I don't, I kinda think that's pointless. If I do like it I vote up regardless. Or, if I'm in that sort of mood, just don't vote. I then remind them that asking for votes is against the rules. But voting down for it I think is a bit.... Meh....
I often do the same for everything, giving people a chance to sort whatever they are doing before I report it myself. In my opinion it's wrong to vote down for something that could be sorted quickly and easily another way. It's not like voting down is going to sort it is it? It'll probably encourage the maker to ask for a vote up.
I agree :)
I can see where it might seem like overkill, but you wouldn't believe how many saves in the past reached several hundred votes almost -just- because of things asking for votes. People putting serial signs saying what they'd do once a certain number of votes reached, light-up vote carets, view counters, all gave people an absurd advantage with votes that was difficult to ignore.
This basically means, that for people to compete, they -have- to follow along and do the same. And then -everything- has these in it.
