Spamming is against the rules and is not something that should have to be tolerated and accomadated on the website... I think that if people want to spam, then they should spam somewhere else (find a website that is meant to be for spam, or make one). I'm sure that simon or another moderator will not un-lock it just because peopl liked the thread... It was evidently deleted for a reason.

There's nothing wrong with the spam thread being locked. Being unable to post in a 700 page long spam thread is not going to kill anyone. The moderators can't even deal with such a huge or spammy thread, and certainly won't be bothered to read all of it. It's a pain enough dealing with -normal- spam.
I doubt it was any kind of test, especially coming from TheEyes. It was an annoying thread that stayed around for a very long time considering that spam is technically against the rules.
Maybe someday we'll have a Spam Central subforum that only members can see who's posts don't appear on most recent, but until then, stop mourning over it :<
