    Yeah, the previous rates for PHOT generation in GLAS / GLOW were bugged. Supposed to be 1/10 and 1/30, but instead it was 9/10 and 29/30. Unfortunate for anyone who used PHOT designs involving GLAS. The chances were broke years ago, but only got caught now.

    Why does TPT Multi not work on Chromebook Tablets and laptops? If it is like a stop problem, isn't there a way to fix that? For example in some 3D car games u can chat while u r still moving.

     i used the GLOW ones, the smaller micro-sources still work, but the Type IV, with a vertically larger power source doesn't get the wanted reaction

     

    would be nice to get a option to have the bugged generation as a option in simulation settings so we can still use those PHOT+GLAS/GLOW reactors found on many saves, especially the older ones

     

    EDIT: oh uh turns out the mini-reactor didn't work at all in either versions, the vertical design is flawed.. time for some intense design changes(EXTENSIONS, GO)

    A surprise 2nd beta has been released!


    99.0 (Build 376) 2024-12-22
    • Fix large save uploads failing (especially on Windows)
    • SRT (Separate Render Thread) is now enabled by default
    • Improve SRT performance when there's a low amount of particles
    • Fix frequent frame drops when using drawCap
    • drawCap is now enabled by default, and caps at your monitor's current refresh rate
    • Add DEBUG_SIMHUD and DEBUG_RENHUD Lua constants for debugging fpsCap and drawCap limits
    • Fix gravity wall being intermittently broken when drawn while paused
    • Add option to redirect standard output and standard error to log files
    • Update packaging process to automate Steam releases, and package arm64 Windows builds (available only by link above)


    This beta fixes large save uploads timing out after a long time and then failing. Testing around this would be appreciated.

    It also has some performance improvements in particular situations. drawCap is now enabled by default. This means when your fps cap is higher than your draw cap (for example when you remove the fps cap), it will only render to your screen at your monitor's refresh rate, which reduces waste and can improve fps. There's also a performance fix for SRT. With SRT on, rendering happens in another thread at the same time as the simulation updates. But, there was a big overhead to set up the rendering thread every frame. With this performance fix, that overhead is reduced. SRT will no longer impact fps as much when there's a low amount of particles.

    If you already have the beta (either through our website or through Steam) it will auto-update to the new one.

    As a guy who's been playing for a good 3 months, please, add more elements ;(
