Just wanted to mention some things I have noticed about lag.

First off I get a very slight increase in performance after I've created/deleted very large numbers of particles at a time and then load up my benchmark test save which consist of a large circle of iron filled with Oil with the view settings set to basic. When I first open up TPT after I restart my computer the consistency in FPS with this save has allowed me to use it to tell if there is something affecting my computer's performance even in the slightest which is great because I've detected issues with my computer I likely would not have detected without that until it had had a much more profound effect on my computer. I have made sure that my computer is not running any more or less programs/services/processes in the background when doing FPS checks so I know that it's likely relating to the game itself in regards to the fps increase. I just thought I'd mention that to you as it may help you improve the game's performance further. I'd also like to mention that Hydrogen gas produces a fair bit more lag than the other elements under "gases". I get a difference of about 15 fps between it and BOYL at a particle count of around 41600.

It doesn't ionize in attempt to not interfere with fusion, but I think fusion will be fine if I re-enable it at higher temperatures and do it another way. I fixed it for the next version.

Use 89.2 if (and only if) on mavericks, you have to enter the properties as normal when you click the PROP tool. From then on you draw it like a brush. It should be pretty obvious how it works once you forget how the old weird way did.

I fixed the invisible photons bug just now. Also PROT now passes through portals, but I told you that somewhere else already :P

TPT can be a pretty good benchmark I guess :P. As for HYGN being laggier, it just has a more intensive update function. I don't think BOYL has one at all. Update functions and movement takes up the majority of CPU time in TPT. Not much can be done to improve that.

that's happened for a while, in very certain circumstances. It's a glitch that I couldn't fix without causing another glitch, or rewriting more parts of PSTN which may cause even more glitches. It's been a while since I worked in PSTN anyway, so it's acted however it did for months.

Edit: but you should probably give a save that shows what you mean. Maybe you are just using it wrong. Make sure there is nothing blocking the path when it comes back, even other PSTN will block it.

@h4zardz1.  that is because there is only one pixel of PSTN, the other pixel is FRME.  I have made that mistake myself a couple of times.

Might want to change the dates of the most recent updates you posted. They say 2013 instead of 2014. Lol

I noticed that not only has development of this game slowed greatly but the forum community seems to have slowed down as well. I've been playing this game since very close to the very beginning and I don't want to see it stop being developed whatesoever. If it's ideas you need I am more than able to lend a hand with that. I've come up with several in the past that were added and I can do so again easily. Is it a problem of running out of ideas or is it an issue with developers losing interest?

    Fixed :P

It's the second. I'm sure there will always be bugfixes and other things, but unless there's a new developer or the game gets handed over to someone else, it will probably just continue how it is right now.

    Then hand it over.
