I -1, only because that system would be entirely biased, and unjust, as the there is no strict definition of a "useless/pointless" thread. Much of what you might find useless, i might find helpful.

By "useless topics" I mean repeated topics, for example, 20 topics asking for the same element with the same purpose.

I think Mur, you don't quite understand. We can't kickban half the userbase because they're annoying. :P

We do a good job enough at kicking the real trolls on the forums at the very least.
However, not sure any way around this kinda problem. o_o I added a note to the rules for publishing anyway, so retarded save gimmicks will have even less room to fit into the front page, where most people get their example from.

What I hate most is trolling, 'cause it can bring the offended one to commit suicide. I can say it myself, because three years ago I tried to commit suicide due to bullying at the school. I have serious problems today to make friends, 'cause I stayed with the fear of being hated (Yes, it is true).

you bring a good point, but there are some people that have been racist and sexist and homophobic, (not necessarily to me) and to my knowledge nothing has happened, that is what (at least i) would like to stop.

let me clarify:
trolling/flaming in some circumstances is okay, say someone suggests HFIR (exactly like fire, but very happy and pink).
then, i believe it is okay to say things like "what the hell. pointless, and stupid."

but in other circumstances it is definitely not okay, such as if someone says "i am a latino" it is not okay to say things like "latinos are dirty" (note, i have nothing against latinos. i am one. it is just an example) this should be obvious to everybody, but appearantly it isnt.

also, when dissing an idea, it shouldnt be okay to say words like "retarted, faggot, the n-word" as those words may be offensive to some if not all demographics.

...I don't have much sympathy for anyone who commits suicide because of trolling. Trolling itself isn't that great, but if you can't deal with being privately egged on, then you need a psych or someone, or maybe need to actually go and do something else. o_o
