    it seems odd that the Powder Toy client links to this thread, as if a post from 2015 would really be news to anybody in 2021...

    This thread has been active from 2015 to the present day. It's still just as relevant as it was back then, since the server is still up and running, and in active use.

    Version 1.17.11 doesn't exist, you need 1.7.1 java edition (the latest version)

    I just noticed that on the Starcatcher website, the info for the server still says that the IRC channel is on freenode, just wanted to point that out. Also, because of the new biome smoothing feature, and lowering the bedrock in existing chunks, is the server still gonna be reset, maybe with a slightly larger worldborder of maybe 20000 blocks?

    The server will still be resetting, a lot of players (me included) are excited to start fresh and explore the new terrain for ourselves. Without the 1.5 years of infrastructure we built up.

    I will do a larger world border than usual. We added a hard drive with plenty of space that is used to store backups. These backups take up hundreds of GBs, now I have the space for a large border. Probably not too much larger though.

    I'll fix the website when I can. Thanks for pointing it out, we definitely do NOT still use freenode.
