If you want a relatively cheap host provider that will give you a cpu clocked at 4.8GHz Pebblehost is pretty good. I've ran servers with up to 50 people on with good performance. You get full access to the Minecraft files as well.
I know I sound like a shill, but it's genuinely a good option

I see. I checked it out and it seems like a good offering if they do what they say.
But I already have my own dedicated server, which is very powerful, and free (to me), so server hosting is definitely not something I need right now. We've had 8+ players on in the last few days and it runs fine. I expect to get more now that it's advertised in the TPT MotD. I've turned up some settings, we now have 12 render distance instead of 10, and dynmap is set to render chunks very fast. The server is more than capable of this currently.
Switching to a hosting provider would be incredibly expensive for me. Dynmap regularly takes up hundreds of GBs of disk space storing renders, I also prefer to have plenty of backups (totalling another 100GB). The performance and storage requirements I have for my server don't come cheap. -
Pebblehost gives you as much disk space as you need and automatic backups free of charge

This is intended to be a vanilla server. I don't plan to add any new gameplay features or mechanics.
The only thing I've done is add claims (to prevent griefing) and death chests. -
Almost fried my brain trying to remember my password again.
