This isn't the place to advertise your own server. This thread is for the official TPT Minecraft server only.

Server has recently been upgraded to 1.19. This is a smaller update that adds Mangrove Swamps and the Deep Dark. (Deep Dark is pretty awesome to explore).

generally I ban people from creative for cheating or using nbt modified items. These kinds of things aren't as doable on survival, so creative bans don't apply to survival.

Bedrock players can't join the server, it is Java-only. I've looked into plugins to allow Bedrock players to join in the past, but they are glitchy and also I didn't have a way to personally test for issues myself since I didn't own bedrock. It's free to me now though, so I'd be curious to test it ...

But anyway you've since been able to migrate your account and join the server so we're all good.

Also just wanted to give an update on 1.19.1, which releases on Wednesday. I will not be immediately updating the server to this version as usual. It will stay on 1.19. It isn't clear to me yet if 1.19.1 clients will be able to join a 1.19 server.

The reason is because I will be on vacation, and unable to update the server until July 16th. I don't want to update and cause potential problems before I leave, so I'm instead waiting until after.

It has nothing to do with the chat reporting controversy that has come out recently. But if you want my stance on that too - I think it's an unnecessary intrusion into private servers, but not actively harmful so long as Microsoft handles chat reports fairly. Basically, you are fine and have nothing to worry about. The cryptographic signing feature is a good security measure to prevent false reporting while still respecting privacy of servers. Only reported messages and their context are sent, and their authenticity is verifiable. The report categories are fair (profanity is no longer a reportable option), and were created to cover all the broad reasons someone may consider reporting a message, even though Microsoft will treat the severity of each category differently. Getting reported isn't going to mean a permanent ban.

If you have a problem with a user, you should absolutely come to me first though. I can handle conflict resolution, and if someone is being a troll or using some kind of hate speech, I can ban them. The server rules remain the same, and aren't the same as the categories in the chat report option. I don't feel like any active TPT Minecraft community members do or say anything deserving of reporting, the vast majority of bans are for cheating, not for chat messages.

The server doesn't require chat signing to be enabled. There is a mod out there that will disable chat signing, preventing your messages from being reportable. You may use this, and will still be able to chat on the server. The reason I don't require chat signing is because I have a system in place where users who haven't purchased Minecraft or don't have Microsoft accounts can still play on the server. They go through a special whitelist, and their messages can't be signed. If someone has been unfairly banned, I can enable this system for them too, although I would require a screenshot of their exact ban reason and a good explanation of why the ban was unwarranted. I will defer to Microsoft's judgement unless proven otherwise.
