Possible bug: When initially spawned in a paused state, quarks show all three of their colors: red, green and blue. When unpaused, only red and green remain, with no blue quarks to be found. In addition, there is an effect where nearby solids including DMND have random pixels deleted.
This is because the two heaviest quarks spawn as blue and then decay almost instantly. I should change it so that all quarks can spawn as all colours. And when you say "nearby" do you mean particles close to quarks?
No. It turns out that placing quarks anywhere causes this random deletion, even if the quarks are on the opposite edge of the screen. On an unrelated note, will it be possible in the future to make hadrons other than protons or neutrons?
This is strange... I'll have to look into it. As for more hadrons, mesons are definitely possible but I'll have to add antiquarks first.
One final thing I noticed on the pixel deletion: it only occurs to the pixels on the top edge of an object. Pixels that are inside the object, or along a side edge or the bottom are safe.
I saw this too, I don't know why this is going on. Another thing you'll notice is that the HUD doesn't say "Empty, pressure: ..." etc when you are not hovering above an element. I haven't a clue why this is happening either...
I noticed that, but did not mention it since you said that there were some bugs with the HUD. Also, I was wondering if in a future version the gluon field could be a background effect like Newtonian gravity. Gluons would cause a disturbance in this field like gravitons do to the Newtonian gravity field. Unlike Newtonian gravity, the gluon field should only affect certain subatomic particles instead of everything.
I wanted to do this originally but the way I have it now is simpler, and if it works I think I'll just leave it and make it like Newtonian gravity sometime in the future. If you look in the source, you'll see I have already started working on the Higgs field, electromagnetism, and the weak nuclear interaction as well.

electromagnetism?! That alone would make this mod epic. Any plans for radioactive decay features?
