    I knew about that for ages. Its really helpful. They can go two different directions.

    Well the reason I wanted to see if I could use jeb3's stack is that I was worried I would run out of space just for the RAM.

    Currently the major space consumer is the switching arrays. Which on the last processor took up a good 60% of the ram.

    Have a look at erwins_cat's playground. There seems to be some sort of switching table there, not sure if it is smaller than the one in your processor though.
