speaking of ios5 does it actually delete everythign off your ipod?

if it does then does anyone know a way to backup the music on your ipod without actually having a physical or digital copy of it?
like is there a way to download the music from your ipod to your computer.

Press the search button on the browser (NOT internet browser) and type in something, it usually works

Depends which one you have, some ipods are designed specifically so you can't do that (for anti-pirating reasons or whatnot).

i have the fourth gen touch

and now off to google i go ( i was mainly wondering it it was possible at all )

BUT i hadnt looked at icloud yet so ill try that
