haha lol... you poms have gone funny in the head. Doesn't it seem strange to start school during the middle of the year?
Here in Australia we start in January and finish in December (November for 11s and 12s). So does all of England (students) start school on September the first? (I actually only know that from Harry potter).
And i spose your all near Greenwich, so being ten hours behind occasionally confuses me, like lolzy:

as i post this ... now... it is the second of September and i am writing this before i go to school.

no... we get 8 weeks holiday (7 for year ten and below) starting in November. we go back to school in late January. note: it is summer in Australia for Dec, Jan and Feb. in fact, now that you mention it, it is now the second day of spring here...

School started last Monday for me. Also, I think summer break used to be for helping with harvesting crops or something.

I started school several weeks ago. That's why my posting frequency has plummeted.
