Instant Polaroid Film

Recently I bought a pack of Instant Polaroid film that was expired. So I decided to research and tear it a part to see how it worked.

Surprisingly the system is simple. The undeveloped film is exposed to light and goes through two rollers. Those rollers break open a pouch at the bottom of the frame (The thicker or larger frame edge if you've seen one). That pouch has developing chemicals that are spread evenly across the surface of the undeveloped film. A light blocker that acts as a dark room is a part of those chemicals. One those chemicals have developed the film, the light blocker turns transparent.

Here is my version of that film, but without a camera. It is exposed to light once, then you have to spark the two pins to clear and seal the photo (remove the excess chemicals and replace it with glass). The photo is on the front and is the colored glass panel.

Number one is the film front to expose to the light.

Item number two at the top are the pins for sealing the photo. The bottom pin is the clear the excess developing solution, while the top pin is to seal the photo. In order it goes as bottom to top.

Other than that I just wanted to to see if anyone could create a camera for the film. Please do credit Lockheedmartin for the idea and the film save itself.

Unfortunately people hated the save solely because it had your letter system in it.
