Implemented in v49.0, Powered Materials are substances that require energy to function or can be switched on and off.
Not to be mistaken with [[Electronics]], which create/transmit/modify electricity, Powered Materials serve a functional purpose (such as change colour or create particles)


===  Liquid Crystal (LCRY):  ===
Color: grey

Description: 
Liquid crystal. Changes colour when charged (PSCN charges. NSCN discharges). The color change is normally from a dark grey to a light grey, but the color can now be changed with the [https://powdertoy.co.uk/Wiki.html?id=decoration_layer| decoration layer].

Allows [https://powdertoy.co.uk/MediaWiki/index.html?title=Radioactive#Photons_.5BPHOT.5D| Photons]] to pass through slowly when charged. Liquid Crystal will turn into [[http:''powdertoy.co.uk/Wiki.html?id=elements:powders#broken_glass_bgla| Broken Glass]] at extremely high temperatures.

===  Powered Clone (PCLN)  ===
Color: yellow

Description:
Solid.When activated, duplicates any particles it touches. 

Does exactly what it says on the tin, copies particles. you can edit this with CTYPE property. Activated by PSCN, deactivated by NSCN.

===   Heat Switch [HSWC]  ===
Color: Red

Indestructible only conducts heat when charged. Charge with [PSCN], discharge with [NSCN].

===   Pressure Pump [PUMP]  ===
Color: blue

Indestructible change pressure to its temperature when receives spark from PSCN, have no effects when receives spark from NSCN. 

It does not exchange heat with other particles, use HEAT/COOL to change its temperature

===   Gravity pump [GPMP]   ===
Color: teal

Indestructible <49.0> changes [[:newtonian_gravity| Newtonian Gravity]] To its temperature upon receiving spark from PSCN. Powers off with NSCN. 

No heat exchange with other particles, use HEAT/COOL to change its temperature.

Only works when Newtonian gravity is enabled in the menu.

===   Delay [DLAY]   ===
Color: purple

Indestructible, delays spark based on temperature (One degree equals one frame, the hotter it is, the more the spark is delayed), use HEAT/COOL to change temperature.

===  Store [STOR]  ===
Color: Teal

Stores a single particle when it falls into the STOR. If the ctype is non-zero, it will only accept that element. Releases the particle into nearby PIPE or when charged with PSCN

STOR can be used as a single particle dispenser, or, with PIPE can be used to create a filter allowing one specific element type.

===  Powered Void [PVOD]  ===
Color: Red

When activated with PSCN, drains away particles like VOID. Deactivate with NSCN.

=== Accelerater [ACEL] ===
colour: blue

Accelerates energy-type particals (PHOT, NEUT, ELEC) when activated (PSCN to activate). ACEL must be parallel with a one pixel gap to be most effective. Can be deactivated by NSCN. Has no effect on powders.

=== Decelerater [DCEL ===
colour: green

Oposite of ACEL; decelorates energy-type particals. DCEL also has no effect on powders.

===  Breakable Powered Clone [PBCN]  ===
Color: orange

Duplicates any particle it touches when activated (PSCN on, NSCN off), dissipates under pressure like BCLN.
