    @jacob1 is right. If you try to spawn tron with a large pixel size, you will se that only the ones on the edges will be able to escape, because there is nothing in front of them :)

    ... they all crash into each other and die. There is no empty space anywhere for any to go.

    Its the too many sprites glitch. When there are too many on screen objects, it will delete things and lag alot. It happens in almost all games.
