    If the city is very, very big and they have lots of chemical industry which uses salt, then it`s necessary. But, this is only a challenge in a simulator, so it shouldn`t matter.

    But why do they need salt? You only need 6 grams a day in your food, and salt for water softeners is not a necessity.
