    i have to disagree. remove gpmp and look at the right bottom plane. photons are deccelerated entering pcln, but when they leave they seem to be faster than before

    basically right, except for accelerating photons. That's just the GPMP doing it, maybe it's some illusion making you think it makes them faster ... Also I plan to make it instant from all directions eventually.
