My guess at the form of Planet Midas. As per the title, the planet is rich beyond anybody's wildest dreams with gold, and precious minerals abound in this otherwise uninhabitable wasteland. 1 pixel: 2 square miles and the dominant resource found there.

    all the gold is located at the earth sized core of Midas, its gaint ring also has lots of gold
